Policy analyst Robert Gooch has been appointed as the new director of policy for the British Free Range Egg Producer’s Association (BFREPA).
The new part-time role has been created to try and bolster BFREPA’s lobbying effort on all matters affecting the free-range egg industry.
Based at Pound Farm, Sweffling, Saxmundham in Norfolk, Mr Gooch is currently a policy analyst at UK and EU level for clients in the dairying, cropping and environmental sectors.
“He brings with him a wide breadth of experience having carried out contracts for the Environment Food and Rural Affairs Committee at the House of Commons, along with other services for DEFRA and the Potato Council in Brussels,” said BFREPA chairman John Retson.
“Robert is a young, enthusiastic, professional gentleman and, without doubt, will bring a completely new dimension and thought process to our industry.”
Mr Gooch will take up his post on 1 November 2011.
