Potters Poultry expands into new headquarters

Equipment and pullet supplier Potters Poultry has moved headquarters in response to growth in the business.

It has relocated to premises able to contain five times the manufacturing capacity of its previous Willey Fields Farm site, just outside Rugby, which will continue as a pullet rearing facility.

Last year Potters Poultry celebrated 50 years in business.

The new headquarters is situated on a trading estate closer to the centre of Rugby, and has more floor space and double the roof height, allowing expansion to the manufacturing arm of the business.

Previously the building was home to Mitsubishi UK’s rally preparation unit.

Justin Potter said the site reinforced the company’s Midlands base, and he expected to increase its workforce as the business expands.

“We will not only have our new head office here, but are installing a mezzanine floor in the unit to increase floor space, and allow us to expand our warehousing, stockholding and distribution activities, as well as our manufacturing side,” he added.

“It will also allow us to operate a bigger warehouse for our web shop, enhancing our offering online as we’ll be able to hold more lines in stock. We expect to double the number of lines we hold when fully operational.”
