The follow-up to Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s controversial chicken welfare programme screened on Monday night (26 Jan).
Called, Chickens, Hugh and Tesco Too, it showed the chef as he campaigned to get Tesco to raise the welfare of its standard chicken.
Poultry World editor Richard Allison said the programme was more supportive of farmers than last year’s
“Last year it portrayed the industry as a closed shop with something to hide, this year it was more prepared to listen.”
