TYM tractors set for front linkage

By Charlie McCarron

LINCS-BASED Opico engineering has added a further three models to its ever expanding range of front linkages.

Featured in farmers weekly”s First Drive feature (Machinery, Nov 26, 2004), the TYM T700 is one of the latest models that can be kitted with a HEVA front linkage.

With 1.5t and 2.5t lift capacity options, the units can be specified with or without pto gearbox drives. The pto driveline is engaged by an oil immersed multi-plate clutch with electro-hydraulic control which avoids snatching when an implement is engaged.

Massey Ferguson 6400-series tractors can also be fitted with an Opico front linkage. Available with or without pto, they are suitable for tractors with MF”s Quadlink front-axle suspension. Lift capacities range from 2.5t to 5.5t.

McCormick”s ZTX range also joins the party. Its tractors can be fitted with a 3.6t or a 5.5t linkage but there is currently no pto option available – according to Opico this will come later this year.
