Description
To let by Informal Tender.
An opportunity to rent a productive farming operation in north Kent over numerous blocks of predominantly Grade I and II land, together with grazing land, and extending to approximately 750 acres. Useful collection of modern farm buildings including a 2,000 tonne grainstore and cattle yard.
The land is split into several blocks and the soils predominantly belong to the Fyfield series, characterised by deep, well drained, often stoneless soils. The arable land has been used to grow a variety of combinable crops and is currently under a rotation of Wheat and Beans. Part of the land is used to grow vegetable crops and there is a 5,000,000 gallon reservoir, currently with the benefit of an abstraction licence (8,000,000 gallons annually) and irrigation. The pasture land includes part of the Shorne Marshes, were there is potential for additional income from Countryside Stewardship.
Residential accommodation is available if required, including a large detached farmhouse and farm workers cottage.
The farm is offered for let as a whole or in three separate lots. Viewing days will be held on the 25th April and 9th May (10am – 3pm) and applicants are encouraged to register. Tenders close 12 noon on Friday 22nd June 2018.
