University and College Challenge – your starter for 10

Your verdict

Give your verdict – and win a £200 prize

There are loads of simple ways you can tell us what you think about any land-based course or place of study whether you're a current student, an ex-student, a lecturer or just simply want to get involved.

A word from Sarah Todd

photoWorking on this list made me think one thing, says Sarah Todd, who compiled this feature. Oh, to be 18 again…

People are understandably worried about tuition fees, but millions have been pumped into improvements at a lot of colleges. It’s also refreshing that many are still turning out people who - whether or not they go on to get an office-based job - can lamb a ewe, milk a cow, reverse a tractor and tell whether a crop of wheat needs spraying or not.

It was hard for me, being from Yorkshire, not to see either Bishop Burton or Askham Bryan on this list. As a horse rider, I fell in love with the images of Hartpury College in Gloucestershire, and the omission of Reading University has been on my conscience.

I hope you’ll join the debate and tell us about your favourites. I certainly reckon there’ll be plenty of scope for a follow-up article.

IN WRITING

Leave a comment on our website forums or email us at fwfarmlife@rbi.co.uk. Don’t worry, we’re not looking for a dissertation – just a sense of what the place is like.

IN PICTURES

Load one or more pictures that you think sum up the place and the student experience into our designated gallery. This is quick and easy to do (you’ll need to register first, but this only takes 90 seconds to do).

You could also email a link to pictures on Flickr or an album on Facebook.

ON VIDEO

Film a short video, either on your phone or on a hand-held video camera, giving a flavour of the place (don't worry, it doesn't have to be long, 30 seconds is enough, and it doesn't have to be BBC standard!)

Then email the YouTube link to fwfarmlife@rbi.co.uk
