Women from across the country will gather in Yorkshire next month for the Women’s Food & Farming Union’s Conference at Askham Bryan College.
The three-day conference called Food for the Future, which runs 28-31 March, will cover such topics as food security and labelling.
Speakers will include Lake District farmer Will Cockbain; the Food and Environment Research Agency’s Paul Brereton; director of Stockbridge Technology Centre Graham Ward; and deputy chief executive of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, Heather Parry.
“Never has there been a more important issue for food producers and farmers to address than the crisis that awaits us if we do not take action to redress the balance in the importance of our impending food shortage,” says WFU’s Eunice Finney.
