John Fishwick

Head of the Department of Production and Population Health

Currently he is head of department of production and population health and senior lecturer in dairy herd medicine at the Royal Veterinary College, University of London. He started work as a vet in practice in Cheshire and Essex before running the Farm Animal Practice at the Royal Veterinary College for nearly seven years. He then worked as the head veterinarian to what was then the world’s largest fully integrated dairy company in Saudi Arabia from 1997 to 2003 before returning to the RVC. He has been chief veterinary officer of the Royal Smithfield Society and in 2010 he was president of the British Cattle Veterinary Association.
