Forecast not good in East Yorkshire

Only two days into wheat harvest, East Yorkshire farmer Paul Temple is worried about the weather forecast. He said the wheat is looking reasonable and the quality should be ok, providing the weather stays good.

Oilseed rape met the farm average at 4t/ha. Over 50ha of Lioness and Royal were good quality, but he said Royal was a more uniformed crop which he was very pleased with. Although oil content has not been tested, he said oil in the Yorkshire area is a little below average.
