Get to grips with on-farm biogas

Farmers interested in setting up their own on-farm biogas plant have been invited to attend a tour of the Kemble Farms biogas plant near Cirencester.
Attendees will get to look around the plant, which uses cow slurry, maize and glycerol to run a 300kW Combined Heat & Power engine. A seminar featuring speakers from across the industry will also address the latest technical and legislative information.
One tour scheduled for early May has already booked up, but a second event will be held on 8 June 2010. Price is £125+VAT, although Farmers Weekly readers can get in at a discounted rate of £95+VAT by quoting discount code FWJUNE.
