Sum up your job in a sentence or two

My job is fast paced and varies from day to day.  No two days are the same and this means I am kept continually on my toes.

What does this involve day to day?

Order processing, invoicing, sales support and much more.

What do you most enjoy about your job?

I enjoy the challenge, I enjoy speaking with customers and resolving issues, and I thrive on wanting to learn more about the business.

What can be the downside?

Sometimes there are simply not enough hours in the day, but I guess this goes with any job!

What skills and qualifications are essential to do the job?

Good interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, problem solving approach and a hands-on attitude.

What experience did you have before starting?

I have worked in the customer services sector since leaving school at 16 and completing my apprenticeship.

What other careers did you consider?

I hadn’t really considered any other careers. I knew I wanted to work in an office, particularly in customer relations, as I have always enjoyed helping people. Who knows what the world of customer service will bring!

What tips/advice would you give to someone wanting a similar role?

To try and always be ahead of the game and to make sure workload is prioritised. That said, sometimes it can prove difficult when issues arise that need to be addressed immediately. And always try and keep a level head.

What’s the best bit of career advice you’ve been given?

To push myself always and to think I can achieve anything I put my mind too.
