The Pearl was yielding 7.41 t/ha (3 t/acre) while the Maris Otter came in at 6.18 t/ha   (2.5 t/acre).

“I’m very pleased although nitrogen levels in the Maris Otter were slightly high”.

Mr Harding said he was “happy” with his Zeruka oilseed rape crop and its performance.

It was yielding 4.45 t/ha (1.8 t/acre) with no establishment problems.

“If you just do the job properly then you don’t get these problems” said Mr Harding.

He intends to start harvesting his spring barley later today (Aug 2).
