BARLEY GROWERS, traders and processors are being encouraged to take part in the Home Grown Cereals Authority’s annual Malting Barley e-Conference later this month.
The online conference aims to cover all aspects of malting barley production, from world, EU and domestic markets to varieties available to UK growers and new legislation covering mycotoxins.
“We have seen some major changes in the UK malting barley supply chain over the last 18 months, with much concern over the future of the UK market within a global context,” commented HGCA market analyst, Josh Dadd.
This year’s conference will be held over two days (instead of five as last year), on 16 and 17 January. Delegates will be able email questions to the authors of the papers and answers will be published through the Malting Barley e-Club.
Anyone wishing to take part should visit www.hgca.com and register for the Malting Barley e-Club.
