Sainsbury’s drops big-name suppliers

Sainsbury’s has dropped the Prince of Wales and the director of the Soil Association as vegetable suppliers because it says their produce did not meet the right standards.

The move prompted Patrick Holden to accuse leading supermarkets of being so centralised that they cannot deliver the local, organic food their customers want.
