Specialist contracts on offer from Premium Crops

Cereals exhibitor 2009

Premium Crops will be promoting two specialist crops at the event – Red Wheat for Hovis and WintaLin autumn-sown linseed.

“We have negotiated an innovative contract with Rank Hovis to supply them with AC Barrie, a hard red wheat particularly suited to quality bread production,” says PC’s Nigel Bazeley.

“We are looking for Red Wheat growers and will be launching the 2010 harvest contract at the Cereals event.

WintaLin is a credible alternative to winter oilseed rape and winter beans as an autumn-sown break crop, he adds.

“It is winter hardy to at least -12C and comes to harvest in late July.”

The firm’s 2010 harvest contract, offering a premium of 15% over the oilseed rape price, will also be launched.
