Tan spot increases in wheat

Tan spot appears to be an increasing threat to wheat crops, especially in the east, after Crop Monitor assessments found it on 19.5% of samples last season.

That is similar to 2006, but much higher than in the previous two seasons.

Powdery mildew levels were higher than in any year since 2005, while eyespot was at its second lowest level in 10 years.
