Worcs oilseed rape going well

The oilseed rape harvest is going “quite well” for Peter Fairs near Evesham in Worcestershire.

Forty hectares yielded 3.4t/ha, which he was “fairly pleased” with. It came off at 8% moisture and had “good black seed”.

He commented: “It is industrial rape so you don’t get such a good crop.”

He also said his wheat “looked ok” on the heavier land, but the wheat on his lighter fields was “suffering”.
