Woman faces trial over alleged badger cull breach
A woman accused of disrupting the pilot badger cull in Gloucestershire faces a crown court trial next year.
Cathy Scott, 37, of Pepys Corner, Coventry, is charged with breaching a High Court injunction on 3 October.
Gloucester Crown Court heard that Ms Scott allegedly ran into a field shouting and waving torches at Tibberton, near Newent.
The injunction was successfully obtained by the NFU in August to protect farmers involved in the cull from intimidation and harassment from protesters.
It forbids protests from taking place within 100m of homes and within 25m of businesses of anyone involved in the cull. It also bans the use of torches, candles, LED lights and camera flashes near the cull zone.
The court heard that Ms Scott had been travelling to Gloucestershire from Coventry to protest against the cull since it began in the summer.
Ms Scott, who denies breaching the injunction, was bailed to attend the same court on 7 March.
