Aberdeen arable offering

Retirement brings a 340-acre Aberdeenshire arable holding to the market at Rothienorman, about 25 miles north of Aberdeen.

Baldyquash Farm is on the market for the first time in 53 years and has been lotted three ways. Most of the holding is classified as Grade 3(1) and 3(2) and is stone free.

“This farm is in first-class order with excellent modern buildings and right in the heart of some of the finest farmland in the north-east of Scotland,” said James Presly of Aberdeen & Northern (Estates), which is handling the sale.

The farm is for sale as a whole for offers of more than £1.55m.

The first of the three lots includes the four-bedroom farmhouse and a good range of modern arable and livestock buildings, along with almost 171 acres of land.

This lot has a guide price of £1.05m and includes an option agreement for a wind turbine.

With almost 117 acres, the second lot is known as Mill of Blackford and offers arable, pasture and woodland with some Grade 4 hill land at a guide price of £385,000.

Just over 51 acres of Grade 3(2) grassland makes up the final lot which sits away from the farmstead and has a guide price of £115,000.(Aberdeen & Northern (Estates) 01467 623 800)
