Commercial arable unit in Oxfordshire

A large arable farm in Oxfordshire is on the market in four lots, offering expansion opportunities or a standalone unit.

Bushy Farm, near Charney Bassett, is another sale by Savills on behalf of the administrator.

The gently undulating land is all down to arable, cropped with oilseed rape and interspersed with small pockets of woodland.

Field sizes are decent on a mixture of Grade 2 and 3 land which is freely draining shallow lime-rich soil over chalk or limestone. About 80% of the total of 673 aces is Grade 2.

There is planning permission to demolish redundant farm buildings and to build two houses with detached garages.

“This is a pretty, standalone unit in a popular area where it is rare for land of such a commercial nature to become available,” said Charlie Paton of Savills. The guide price will be £5.9m. (Savills 020 7409 5916)
