EFFP launches free collaboration worskhops

Help is at hand for farmer-controlled businesses in England which need advice on strategy, following the launch of a free workshop service from English Farming and Food Partnerships.

A successful pilot project in the east of the country has just been extended to cover the whole of England.

The six-hour workshops are run by two EFFP staff and tailored to the need of each FCB, with topics including growing the business, identifying stakeholders, anticipating changes in the business climate and achieving board consensus.

Richard Self, the EFFP project manager who ran the pilot, said: “There is no ‘right outcome’, as the workshops aim to help FCBs come up with their own solutions, based on the evidence of what has worked – or not worked – in the past.”

Businesses should contact their EFFP regional manager for details. See www.effp.com for contacts.
