Farmers offered advice on biomass supply chains

Countrywide Farmers is offering farmers advice and information on renewable fuels with the launch of its Biomass Supply Chain Initiative.

The project will be unveiled at the rural supplies company’s Renewable Fuels Conference on Thursday 8 February.

Conference chairman Sir Ben Gill, who chaired the Government’s Biomass Task Force, said the lack of joined up supply chains was a major barrier to the take up of renewable energy.

“The Biomass Supply Chain Initiative brings together all elements of the renewable fuel chain, from boiler installation to the source of fuel,” he said.

Tickets for the event at Worcester Rugby Club cost £35. For more information call 01993 890422.
