Final figures are not yet available, but it believed the retailer’s suppliers will get over 21p/litre from February.

The rise is on the back of a significant hike in milk commodity values (AMPE) as well as small increases in compound feed prices and the consumer price index.

Marks & Spencer uses a formula taking account of these and other factors when setting prices.
