Modernised Shropshire dairy

One of the largest farming and leisure estates in Shropshire to become available in the past decade is on the market for £7.75m.

The 680-acre Park Hall Farm Estate, near Ellesmere, includes a state-of-the-art dairy milking 500 cows, a leisure business based on 11 woodland log cabins, and Rowe Farm at Welshampton. This was a commercial dairy and now, as a 165-acre livestock and arable farm, brings on youngstock for the dairy.

There are also two farmhouses. The refurbished and renovated Park Hall farmhouse is used as three self-contained flats, but could revert to a family home. Row Farm has a five-bedroomed period farmhouse with gardens, as well as 45,000 sq ft of farm buildings.

Halls is selling the estate as a whole or in three lots on behalf of Tedsmore Hall Services, which has invested substantially in the properties recently. The dairy unit has a brand new computerised 18:36 herringbone milking parlour and cubicle shed for 124 (cubicles for 320 cattle in all), 65,000sq ft of modern farm buildings and a new dirty water disposal system with a 100,000 gallon lagoon and underground piping. The cows, together with extensive machinery, are for sale separately. (Halls 01691 622602)
