Mole Valley spending spree pays off
Farm supplies co-operative Mole Valley Farmers has announced a 15% increase in turnover for the year ending 30 September 2005, mainly on the back of its acquisition of Southern Pye Bibby’s ruminant feed business.
Renamed Southernvalley Feeds, this contributed about 18.5m to total sales.
During the trading year, Mole Valley gained nearly 1000 new shareholders, bringing its total to over 30,000.
Operating profits changed little at ÂŁ2.3m, although total sales were ramped up to ÂŁ145m.
This was helped by a strong performance from SCATS Countrystores, which was acquired by Mole Valley in 2002.
