Welsh livestock farms offered help to slash overhead costs

Free advice on cutting overhead costs is available to red meat producers in Wales.

Farming Connect are offering businesses in the red meat sector free one-to-one sessions examining how they can make savings on energy, power and machinery costs.

Farmers who have participated in the Hybu Cig Cymru/Farming Connect Red Meat Benchmarking programme are also eligible to apply for extra advice.

These producers can access a one-hour surgery with a consultant to discuss their individual benchmarking report and/or a two-hour, on-farm clinic with a business adviser to discuss how to increase outputs and improve efficiency.

All clinics and surgeries will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, with applications closing on 31 January 2020.
