A Devon mixed farm with two good houses and extensive buildings comes to the market this week on the retirement of its owners.
Yarmleigh Farm near Sandford, Crediton, has been owned and farmed by the White family since they moved there from Surrey in 1987. It produces cereals, beef, sheep and free-range poultry.
In a private location, the farm has 219 acres split between about 100 acres of productive arable and the same area of grassland, with woodland and the buildings accounting for the remaining 20 acres.
The main farmhouse is a Grade II listed thatched longhouse with four bedrooms and a two-bedroom annex, while a second house has been converted from a traditional barn into a three-bedroom house.
There are extensive modern farm buildings including stock housing and some grain storage, as well as a good run of traditional buildings.
The land is level and sloping with mainly red sandy loamy soil and Stags has set a guide price of £2m.
Sporting and mineral rights are included, as are single farm payments.
The farm is in an Entry Level Stewardship agreement ending in June 2016, which the buyer will take on.
