A group of 20-month-old Limousin cross steers commanded the day’s top price of ÂŁ990, with British Blue steers selling to ÂŁ975. Hereford crosses peaked at ÂŁ968, with Simmentals up to ÂŁ935, and 15-month-old Limousins to ÂŁ730. Heifers reached ÂŁ840 for 22-month-old Aberdeen Angus crosses, with 16-month-old Herefords peaking at ÂŁ670.
Dairy cull cows reached a top of 125p/kg and averaged 108.35p/kg, with plain beef cows averaging 107p/kg, and topping at 116p/kg. Limousin bulls reached 116p/kg. A small entry of under 30-month cattle sold to 176p/kg for an Aberdeen Angus cross heifer, with AA steers peaking at 172p/kg.
