The National Federation of Young Farmers Clubs has elected Catherine Cross as their new national chairman – the first ever to come from Lancashire.
Ms Cross, who works as a Scottish extension officer for the Milk Development Council, said she was keen to help members get as much as possible out of the organisation.
“I’m also keen to get the organisation on Blue Peter next year – our 75th anniversary year – and to get members to drink more milk,” she said.
