VIDEO: Taking Stock returns to Perth Bull Sales

Farmers Weekly’s Taking Stock team is back up to United Auctions in Stirling this week for the second round of the spring Perth Bull Sales 2012.

Livestock reporters Aly Balsom and Gemma Mackenzie, along with photographer Tim Scrivener, are there to bring you live updates from the show and sales ring.

And once again the team will also bring you videos and picture slide shows from the event, complete with comments from United Auctions’ executive chairman David Leggat.

With an entry of 175 Simmental bulls followed by 250 Charolais, the demand for bulls shown at last week’s fixture is likely to continue.

Charolais breeders will be in high spirits as this week’s sale marks the breed society’s 50th anniversary, but will this fixture see prices on par with the record-breaking 70,000gns achieved in October last year?
