YFF19: Prizes up for grabs in rugby 7s and dodgeball tournaments

Important announcement: The Young Farmers Festival is postponed until 2020, the new date will be announced soon.

Young farmers can now register their teams for the rugby 7s and dodgeball tournaments held at this year’s Young Farmers Festival – and to spice things up a bit there are huge prizes to be won.

As part of a weekend of serious fun from 2-5 May, the festival’s sports ground gives young farmers the perfect chance to show their well-known competitive side. Everyone who isn’t competing is welcome to watch and cheer on their favourite teams.

Sports tournaments open for entry

🏉 Mixed tag rugby 7s tournament – teams of 7 (maximum 3 subs)

  • The winning team will bag tickets to Gallagher English Rugby Premiership Final at Twickenham on 1 June 2019

🏐 Mixed dodgeball tournament – teams of 6 (maximum 3 subs)

  • There’s a £250 cash prize for the winning team

To enter a team, go to the Young Farmers Festival website and complete the registration form – mixed-gender teams are welcome.

You will need to have a ticket to the festival in order to take part in the sports tournaments.

What else is happening at the Young Farmers Festival?

Farmers Weekly is hosting the all-new Young Farmers Festival, a unique new event to do one thing – bring Britain’s incredible young farmers together for a celebration like no other.

The weekend extravaganza will feature music with headline DJs Greg James, Scott Mills and Chris Stark (from BBC Radio 1), sports, discussions and loads of exciting activities, including human table football, sumo suit wrestling and archery.

Submit your teams for the inaugural Young Farmers Festival 2019 rugby and dodgeball tournaments, get a sweat on and win some prizes in the process. 

Or just relax in the Chill Out Zone, with some yoga, a massage and mindfulness sessions or sit back and enjoy a movie at our outdoor cinema. There is something for everyone at the UK’s newest celebration for young farmers.
