Farmers Weekly‘s 2020 photo competition is now open – so don’t delay submitting your rural pictures.
Open for entries until 15 November, this flagship annual contest is giving amateur photographers the chance to showcase their work and win great prizes.
This year there is a total of £500 of prize money on offer, along with the chance to see your images published in Farmers Weekly‘s bumper Christmas issue.
Whether it’s big kit operating outdoors, people hard at work or a candid wildlife shot, any farming or countryside scene could be in with a shot of taking home one of the prizes in this prestigious competition.
There are eight categories:
- Farming Generations
- Black and White
- Young Photographer (open to anyone aged 16 or under on the closing date)
While you might well choose to submit pictures you’ve taken on your swanky DSLT, remember, too, that some of the images we like best are those snapped in a moment of inspiration on a phone camera while out and about working.
So why not share your photos of animals or your favourite bits of our beautiful countryside.
If you’ve got pictures of friends or family you’re particularly fond of, we’d love to see those too, as indeed we would shots of pets and the natural world.
You can enter as many pictures in as many categories as you wish.
All you have to do is upload them to the relevant gallery, including a few details of what they show, as the judges like to read a little context for the pictures. It really couldn’t be simpler.
Meanwhile, here are just a few of the images that have already started arriving.
We’ve enjoyed seeing them – and look forward to seeing yours.
