The deadline for the Farmers Weekly writing completion is drawing near, with entries closing on Friday 19 February 2016.
Many great entries have already been submitted for the competition, with £100 prize on offer for the winner and the opportunity to get a piece published in the magazine.
The theme for the current competition is “The view from here”, which can be interpreted in many ways – it could be the view from the kitchen table or milking parlour, it could be the view from the tractor cab or the highest hill on the farm.
You could also take a less literal approach and write about your views on current issues affecting the agricultural industry or your view on its future. Or perhaps, it might even be a view you have in your imagination – a person or a place, possibly, real or imagined?
The word count for entries is 700-800 words and you should email them to email@example.com by Friday 19 February.
The winning piece will be published in full in Farmers Weekly and extracts of the others may also feature.
