There are just hours left before the winners of the 2011 Farmers Weekly Awards winners are announced at a glittering ceremony in central London (6 Oct).
Over 1200 farmers will be streaming to the capital from all corners of the country to join the party at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane.
The theme of the evening is ‘World class challenges need world class farmers’ in celebration of the world class calibre of British farming.
The Farmers Weekly Awards have become known as the Oscars of the farming industry and it is one of farming’s biggest nights out of the year.
A total of 45 farmers have been shortlisted for the 15 categories which embrace the diversity of the UK agricultural industry. Their businesses range in size from 45ha to 3,300ha.
Full details of the winners will be published on FWi on Friday morning (7 Oct).
