Tasty treats in south west

Poole Farm Pork”s Sally Thomas serves up home-made sausages at last weekend”s Exeter Festival of South West England Food & Drink 2005. The three-day festival attracted about 10,000 visitors, with more than 50 local producers displaying their wares, from cider and cheese to pies, venison and beef. Regional NFU director Anthony Gibson said the festival was of huge significance for local farmers, acting as a shop window for their produce. Poole Farm Park”s David Thomas said the farm was already enjoying stronger demand for its produce since the event.
