Berkshire Farm Women’s Club had a great evening at Leckhampstead village hall – more than 70 people turned up for an evening of re-living the walk along the Inca Trail by four intrepid future Farm Women’s Club members.
Several friends regularly walk together along the Ridgeway but last year decided to do something different and more exciting. Each of them raised money for charity and they had a whale of a time, leaving these shores as good friends and returning as even better friends. The money raised was divided between Riding for the Disabled, Mencap and cancer charities.
Evelyn Bracy and Jane Carlisle made a great double act showing photographs on a rather haphazard screen although ably put up by the farmers in the room were just fantastic and certainly tempted more than one of us walkers in the room to think about walking further afield before we get any older!
