Would you like to become one of Farmers Weekly’s College Calendar columnists?
Would you like to become one of Farmers Weekly’s College Calendar columnists?
If so, this could be your chance because we’re looking for a new columnist to start writing for Farmlife this autumn.
We want someone who is starting a new course at college or university this year, ideally in a farming, food or countryside-related subject.
In return for writing a monthly article about student life, we’ll pay that person £90 a month (whether you spend it on textbooks or in the student bar is, of course, entirely up to you!)
All you’ve got to do is write us a 400-word article called College Expectations, outlining what you’re looking forward to, what you’re apprehensive about and what you’re expecting from your time at college or university.
The article can be serious or light-hearted (or ideally a bit of both) and can touch on any topic – so whether you mention the academic or practical work, the accommodation, or the social life is your choice.
The sender of the article we like best will get the chance to write the monthly column.
Email your entries, to arrive by 25 July, to fwfarmlife@rbi.co.uk or post them to College Calendar, Farmlife, Farmers Weekly, Quadrant House, The Quadrant, Sutton, Sutton, Surrey SM2 5AS.
Also send us a few biographical details about yourself including your background and farming connections (if applicable) along with a daytime telephone number.
