Farming in The Gambia raises questions over fair trade

Business editor Andrew Shirley recently spent a week in The Gambia with Haygrove and Concern Universal staff looking at the problems facing farmers there and some of the potential solutions like Gambia is Good.

“What I saw in The Gambia raised some tough questions about how the west behaves towards developing nations. Trade may be getting freer but I don’t think it’s getting any fairer.”
