4200gns top call at Newark Limousin sale

Limousin bulls sold to a high of 4200gns at Newark on Saturday, with this paid for Dolcorsllwyn Ferdinand from G P Vaughan. This Objat son is out of Dolcorsllwyn Ceri, a Sarkley Voltigeur daughter and has a beef value of +43. He sold to P W Mann, Buckden, Cambridgeshire.

Next best in the bulls at 4000gns was black bull Turville Black Fabregas, a Tamarvalley Bojewyan son out of Turville Countess, a Milbrook Tanko daughter. He sold with a beef value of +41 to S and M M Hall, Huntingdon.

Selling for 2900gns was Plumtree Fernando from Paul Cairns. This is a Haltcliffe Vermount son out of Aldan Bella, a Rocky daughter and sold to R and S Knights, Diss.

Top of the day in the females was Withersdale Dilila from David Wharton. This Ronick Hawk daughter is out of Withersdale Allspice, a Malibu daughter and sold with her heifer calf, Withersdale Frosty, a Fieldson Alfy daughter, at foot. Taking her home were K Ripper Farms, Halstead, Essex.

Following that at 4000gns was another from the same home, Withersdale Cherry. Sired by Hawk as well, she is out of Withersdale Toya, a Fenrose Orinoco daughter. Selling with her bull calf, Withersdale Guru, a Tehix son, at foot she was bought by Richard and Judy Fountaine.

Another 4000gns bid took the best of the heifers Roseycombe Eve from S J Timms. Sired by Mereside Bigmac and out of Ryedale Melody, a Tanholm Claus daughter she sold in-calf to Parisien and went to Neil Hodgson, Southwell, Nottinghamshire.

Then making 3700gns was Roughley Earlybird from Messrs Smith. This Mynach Vable daughter is out of Roughley Rebecca, a Wintles Matchwinner daughter and sold in-calf to Ampertaine Domino. Taking her home was P J Dale, Ripley.
