Aberdeen-Angus champions sell to 20,000gns top
The champion group from the Angus show yesterday have just gone under the hammer with the overall champion Idvies Jarvis Eric first to sell at 20,000gns for Alistair Fraser. This son of Rawburn Rommel is out of Idvies Juana Erica and sold to Ian Graham, Balgay Farms. He has a TSI of +37 and an SRI of +47.Then came the reserve overall all, Ballathie Consort, a Rawburn Elmo son out of Ballathie Caroline, a Fyvie Eagle daughter from John Milligan. This one has a TSI of +39, an SRI of +46 and had stood junior champion ahead of being reserve overall. He went at 5000gns to Mr Duncan, Dumfriesshire.
After that the senior champion Wedderlie El Nino sold at 12,000gns for the Tilson family. This is a Summerhill Pacific daughter out of Wedderlie Elleet, an Aynho Rossiter Eric daughter. He was knocked down with a TSI of +31 and an SRI of +48 to JCB Farms, Daylesford Organics.Following on was the reserve senior Blelack Blackgammon, a Netherallan Peter Pershore son out of Blelack Blackbird, a Nightingale Ernie daughter. With a TSI of +37 and an SRI of +48 he went at 10,000gns.
Then came the reserve intermediate champion Flodden Jewel Eric from John Laing, bred by Jonathan Hayward and bought with the herd, he is by Wrae Baker Boy and out of Flodden Jade Erica, a Ty-Isha Justice daughter. He was sold at 7000gns to Mr Fleming, Stairhaven.
The reserve junior was a much sought after bull selling at 12,000gns this was Tonley Adriano, a Hurdcott Elixier son out of Tonley Annie, a Tonley Powerline daughter. With a TSI of +30 and an SRI of +35 he went to the Harcus family, Orkney.
