Angus stores in demand

As you know we’re keen on Angus on this blog and it seems store buyers north of the border are too, with steers topping at £860 at last week’s sale of Angus sired stores at Thainestone.

The steer was consigned by Messrs Craigi, Hall of Clestrain, Orkney and was bought by W Stewart, Greenfold, Bridge of Marnoch.

Champion ticket in the pre-sale show was clinched by J and J Mark, Mains of Pitlurg, Keith, with a heifer which sold for £660.
