The long wool breeds reigned supreme in the sheep ring. Clinching the interbreed title was the champion Charollais female Miss Dior, bred and exhibited by Elizabeth McAllister. This shearling ewe is sired by Ballyhibben Kickstart and is out of a homebred dam.
Standing in reserve was the Suffolk champion from the 100-strong pedigree Suffolk Lakeview flock of Gary Beacom, Fivemiletown, Fermanagh. This one is sired by Garryhinch Empire, which was purchased for 10,500gns at Roscrea, and is out of a homebred ewe.
