Bentham Christmas dairy trade tops at £2500

Topping Bentham Mart’s Christmas dairy sale was a second calved cow Kendalcragg Samuelo Ada from Peter and David Knowles at £2500. This one, which gave 7678 litres as a heifer sold to Tony Hunter, Berrier.

At £2450 was the champion from the day’s show, an unregistered second calver from George Whitwell. This one by Ingleview Beckam was 21 days calved and sold to Tom Pollock.

Best of the fresh calved heifers was a £2400 sale for an unregistered entry from Nigel Barker. This one, giving 31kg a day, sold to W and S E Dickinson, Greystoke.

Then making £2300 was Ingleview Bam Bam Peach from the Butterfield family. This one is out of a Regancrest Samuelo daughter and sold to Messrs Wannop.
