Blonde bulls kick off in Carlisle with 6500gns bid
Well it seems all is selling well in Carlisle this morning as the Blondes are having a good run of trade as well as the Charolais.
I don’t have the championship results to hand, but here’s some trade highlights.
Leading trade at the moment is A J Wilshaw with Elmhirst Conrad, a Brownhill Sam son out of Elmhirst Peony. He sold for 6500gns.
County Durham-based P Weightman and Sons have sold Hallfield Carlsberg, a Doncombe Ayers Rock son out of the Ballygowan Noble daughter Hallfield Spice for 6000gns. This one has a cracking beef value of +23 and is related to many high priced animals.
At 5000gns, the same vendors sold Hallfield Crockett, a Megray Serendepity son out of a Druk Lance daughter. He has a beef value of +28, placing him in the top 10% of the breed.
At 6000gns, my pick of the catalogue Doncombe Dvorak, a Doncombe Valhalla son out of Doncombe Vespetta has gone at 6000gns.
I’ll update shortly once I get the champion results.
