Blondes sell to 6000gns at Carlisle
Top price at Friday’s sale of Blondes at Carlisle was a 6000gns bid for Dalton Dappa, a March 2008-born son of Madden Paternak from John Langhorn. Dappa is out of Hallmark Averil, a Hadley Esquire daughter and had previously stood junior male champion at the Royal Highland, Royal and Great Yorkshire shows this summer. He sold to W E Thompson, Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire.
Next best at 4500gns was another March 2008-born bull, Garngour Dollar from J and H Clark. By Blackwater Jockey and out of Garngour Ashley, a Mir daughter and was reserve champion at Ayr on his only outing this summer. He was sold to I R Appleton, Hartlepool, Cleveland.
And at 4000gns was Megray Dakota, a Bilsington Uphill son from G H and M G Barber. Dakota, born in January 2001 is out of Megray Odette, a Megray Illustrious daughter and sold to M Conneally, Meer End, Kenilworth.
Making 3500gns was Doncombe Derringer from David Knight. By Rodleigh Voyaguer he is out of Doncombe Sassetta, an Aveton Monet daughter and sold to D and S M Bradley, Brampton, Carlisle.
Topping the females was Gala Dream, a Shapfell Vimto daughter from J W Frame. This is out of Gala Utmost, a Riversdale Imperial daughter and sold to T H Harrison, Penrith, Cumbria.
Next best at 2000gns was Broomley Diamond, a Millend Voodoo daughter out of Broomley Pearl, a Hallfield Mitterand daughter. Forward from J and M Gibb, this one was bought by T J Beckingham, Chesterfield.
