Blue females topping at 7000gns so far

Leading the trade for British Blue females in Carlisle at the moment is the fourth prize Newton Blues Dancer (lot 224) from Malcolm Telfer and Helen Claxton. This black and white heifer is by danseur D’embise out of the Visconti daughter Widewath venice. She has already stood first at the highland Show last year so will no doubt go out on the show cicuit with her new Northern Irish owner who paid 7000gns.

Just after that was the first prize May 2008 hefier Droit Deon (lot 231) from richard Mowbray. By Tamhorn sumo, she is out of another Visconti daughter this time Droit Abbey. She also heads to NI at 5800gns.

A smiliar aged heifer Franks Dippitydoodah (lot 233) from the Whitely and Courts partnership has followed at 5000gns. By raciste, she is out of Blue chip Tartan and sold to Sharplaw Farms.

The next is the first prize Homilton Dovecote (lot 236) from Roly Carr. By Blue Stone Volcano, this June 2008-born mostly black heifer is out of the Visconti daughter Ruaig Vodka and sold to Messrs Smart, Aberdeen, who bought a bull earlier today.
