Border and Lakeland Holsteins hit 2700gns

Top call at the Border and Lakeland Hosltein Club’s sale held prior to the Drumtall dispersal was a 2700gns bid for a freshly calved heifer by Shottle and bred from the Roxy family. Bred by the Brough family, she sold to J Hodge, Mauchline.

Following that at 2200gns were a brace of animals, the first being a fresh calved heifer from Brian Yates’ Logan herd. Sired by Baxter and out of a daughter of show winning Logan Outside Roxy cow, she sold to B Weatherup and Partners, Crossgates.

The second to make this money was a third calved cow by Calbrett Champion from David Robinson. she sold to Mr Fisher, Penrith.

And then selling for 2000gns was a heifer from the Wilson’s of Skirwith. By USA sire Bo-Irish Kruiser, she is out of the Dewdrop line and sold to N and S J Sanderson, Lanercost.
