Brief Bicester and Thame sheep fair report

I’ve not yet had chance to get together a full report from Friday’s Bicester and Thame Sheep Fair, however, here is a brief ewe trade report to be going on with.bicester and thame 2010.JPGThe 341 Lleyn and Lleyn cross shearling ewes forward sold to a top of £122 and averaged £113.56, 1008 Texel cross shearling ewes topped at £169 and averaged £128.97, 889 Beltex cross shearling ewes hit a high of £188 and averaged £121.60, Scotch Halfbreds and crosses sold to £148 and averaged £146.45.

Charollais cross shearling ewes were led at £120 and averaged £102.92 for 306 sold, in the 5360 Suffolk x Mule shearlings the best of the trade was a £175 bid, with the average settling at £123.10, Mule shearlings sold to a top of £142 and averaged £114.15 for 6994 sold.
