Brisk trade for Swaledale rams at breed sale
The annual prize show and sale of 180 Swaledale rams on behalf of the Swaledale Sheep Breeders Association ‘A’ District, released a brisk trade, reported auctioneers Harrison and Hetherington.
The shearling average rose on the year by £61.50 to level at £504.13 for 6 more sold. Aged Rams averaged £323.33 (-£118.55) and Ram Lambs returning to the sale after a number of years met a total clearance to average £143.33
