Carlisle Beltex championship decided

The championship in the Beltex here at Carlisle has gone to  the McCrabbe’s with their shearling tup, Ardstewart Paparazzi (lot 807). This one, omitted from the catalogue is by Castlemeadow Nijinsky and out of Ardstewart Miss Maesariti.1182011 Lot 807.JPGReserve male champion was the old ram class winner Freckleton Nimrod from Grant Anderson. This is a Freckleton Lambrusco son out of Freckleton Kim and was bred by the Roots’ family.

In the females the champion was Jock McMillan’s shearling ewe Clary Phoenix. This is an Eskdale Lionheart daughter out of Clary M52. 1182011 Lot 73.JPGReserve female champion and second prize shearling ewe was Borderesk Pin Up Girl from Anne Story. She is by Headlind Mega Lad and out of Borderesk Keep Sake.

In the ram lambs the class was won by Stewart Wood, with his lamb Woodies Rock-N-Roll, a Woodies Pheunominal son out of Lugate Natasha, last year’s Royal Highland female champion.

Second prize tup lamb was Brickrow Radar from John Cowan. This one is by Burnside Phenomenon and out of Brickrow Mango Orange.

Second in the shearling tups was Dooley Pierre from David Thornley. This is a Clovis son out of Dun-Mor Kasey and stood breed chamion at the Great Yorkshire.
